Zoning Administration
The Zoning Ordinance is used to regulate land use and development and is the primary tool for implementing Madison County's Comprehensive Plan. The ordinance specifies permitted and special land uses permitted within designated districts and provides lot and building specifications to regulate construction, development, and business enterprise. The ordinance also provides opportunities to change land use or vary from bulk regulations through zoning map amendments, special use permits, and variances.
