SURVEYOR'S RECORDS IN THE 1800'S
Six books of surveyor's records, showing all townships by quarter sections.  The index is included in these books.  These books show the original monuments or corners, date of survey and who made the survey.

ROBINSON RECORDS
Also in the 1800's - surveys made for the individuals.

SPALDING SURVEY RECORDS
A general survey of an entire township.

GOVERNMENT SURVEY RECORDS
Somewhat more detailed than the Spalding records (shows some names).

ROAD RECORD PLATS
Township roads, county roads, highway.
The grantor is usually:  State of Illinois, Department of Transportation; County Superintendent Of Highway

ASSESSORS BOOKS
By township showing lands & lots; Moro twp 1935-1938; Bk 234 & 306-Assessors books for Granite City, Venice, Madison, New Port.  These records show lots or lands by section and township, school district, acreatge figures for unimproved lands, improved lands, improvements (additions & destructions), revisions of local assessor, supervisor of assessment and board of review.  Very limited on these records. Your main assessor's records will be found in the supervisor of assessor's office or you township assessor's office.
