SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Partnership for Drug-Free Communities is a regional coalition of community leaders working together to address substance abuse issues in the bi-state area.  The current focus is on the opioid epidemic.  Three subcommittees are working on strategic plans to address the opioid issue through Prevention, Treatment and Recovery, and Law Enforcement and Legal.  Meetings are typically held the 4th Wednesday every month at 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.  We welcome you to attend and get involved in this collaborative approach to help overcome this substance abuse issue impacting our community.

For more information about this coalition, contact Melanie Nagel, Chestnut Health Systems, at mdnagel@chestnut.org or 618-205-8131.
