Public Meeting: "Opening Up Madison County Again"
Discussions to take a proactive, phased approach to plan for the re-opening of Madison County when the time is right, began on April 30th. The public should be reassured that the guidelines for re-opening will be 100% consistent with the public health mission of our county health department.
Organizations are encouraged to submit a "one page" plan to the county at firstname.lastname@example.org on how they plan to re-open.

Madison County meetings to be held via teleconference
Madison County will continue hold committee meetings via teleconference in helping to slow the spread of coronavirus.
Due to the volume of patrons participating the phone bridge has been disabled and the public may listen via a live stream at https://www.twitch.tv/madisoncountyIL . The public should join 5 minutes prior to the start of the meeting to hear you will need to Tap to UNMUTE on the live stream.
Public comments can be submitted through Madison county website: https://www.co.madison.il.us/public . Public comments must be received 24 hours in advance of the meeting in order for their comments to be part of the official record.
COVID-19 Related Services and Event Changes
The health and safety of the public and Madison County employees are of the highest importance and the County has taken various steps to reduce contact with the public in the Administration Building, Courts and other facilities to maintain social distancing. Pursuant to Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order #2020-32, effective May 1, 2020, all visitors to County buildings shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain a six-foot social distance. This applies to individuals over age two (2) and those able to medically tolerate a face-covering.
Although buildings are open for business from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, please call ahead to the office(s) you need assistance from to determine if alternative methods of conducting those services are available.
